Well, that’s one obvious title, isn’t it? But as amazing as it may seem, youngfreshfellows.com isn’t necessarily part of the worldwide phenomenon known as Young Fresh Fellows. And it’s not.
Somebody used to have youngfreshfellows.com registered (they say it was to promote the really-fun This One’s for the Fellows tribute record), but website registrations are like dogs - they die if you don’t watch them. Well, dogs are going to die at some point no matter what you do, but basically I discovered youngfreshfellows.com was available, so I picked it up.
And as you have probably noticed, I’m not using the domain to send you to some kind of spammy place; I actually want to make this a site where I can wax poetically about my love of the Fellows, point other fans (there are only two kinds of people in the world; YFF fans and people who haven’t heard them) to cool content I find, push some record sales through Amazon.com and make a little bit of money from the traffic that comes here.
I don’t expect to be a prolific updater of the site, as I have a bunch of other things that keep me busy. But with something like 23 years of YFF fandom under my belt, there are things I have to say that might be of interest to somebody. I’m a more interesting person for having Fabulous Sounds … put in front of me many moons ago, and if I help just one wayward little child out there discover the Fellows, my life will have been worthwhile.
Now sit back and listen wait for me to write actual stuff …
